Ok so I am a little late in this post. What can I say, these last few weeks have been a bit hectic but late or not, here is her 18 month post
Height 33.5" - 91 percentile
Weight 27.6 lbs - 93 percentile
Head 18.5" - 68 percentile
Her Dr. appt went very well and Dr. Glasser was very impressed with her abilities. She only got one shot this time and thank God she is done with her shots until she is 4! I think the older they the get the harder the shots get because they are so much more aware of things and know what is coming. I will say that this was the first time that I took her alone and she was on her best behavior. She stood right up on the scale, let the nurse take her temp and listen to her lungs and check her ears. I think that part of it is that she is older now and although she knows what to expect, she knows that most things don't hurt so she is not scared of them anymore.
Eighteen months is a really fun age. It can be trying at times since they learn to test boundaries but overall she is so much fun and has so much personality. She laughs and smiles and imitates you and is quite the little actress at times too! She knows how and when to get attention and has the fakest cry! It makes me laugh when she turns that fake little cry on. Such a little pistol!
The last month has been very busy! We have had a ton of visitors and I had a few work trips thrown in there as well. First my parents and sister came out for the weekend. We had brunch with Ben's parents that weekend so I got a few groups shots. We took Avery to Bass Pro Shops and boy did she have a fun time. She ran all over that store looking at the animals and the fish and trying on hats and sunglasses and sitting in the chairs. She loves it there.
The next week Uncle Grant and Christi stayed with us and we went back to Bass Pro Shops and had brunch. We brought the Ipad and we actually had a very peaceful brunch. Thank God for that thing!!! They went to get doughnuts one day for Aves since those are her favorite things in the world. They sure know the way to her heart!
Avery also learned to do big smiles that day... This video is priceless
Aunt Beckie came out a few weeks later and brought a few new toys... She sure loves to bring toys that Avery falls in love but that we have no room for in our house. Since Avery can't say Beckie, her name now and forevor is Aunt Boo.
In Avery news, she continues to be a blessing to everyone that she around. She can be such a cuddle bug and lovey and at then two seconds later be running down the house and back to her turbo self. She makes me laugh every single day and I am so thankful for such a happy and fun loving little baby. She is set on her routine and loves going to bed and taking naps. Most of the time she tells us when its night night time by taking our hand and heading up the stairs or not saying night night. She has about 30-40 words that she says and has quite an array of animal sounds as well. She is quite the entertainer.
She also got a few new toys this month as you can see from the pictures below. Here are some other pictures as well.
