August 2014

Another month of hot weather and lots of outdoor activities!

Avery stayed busy with camps this month.  She was in a gymnastic camp with her friend Libby and a Anna Elsa camp with her friend Vivienne which as you can imagine was a hit. Actually she had a blast at both camps!

We went to a friends birthday party and this was out of the girls element since it was a boy party and they were both a little apprehensive of Spiderman... but they had a great time!

Abagee came to visit and help out while I was on a few work trips and as always the girls had a great time with her.  We sure are blessed to have so much help between my sister, parents, and Abagee!

Kennedys hair is growing by the day... literally.  I think that is the biggest thing that changes in her other than her ever growing vocabulary.

The girls have been into paining outside lately and they sure do get messy

Kennedy has also gotten very good at going potty on the big girl potty.  I don't doubt that she will be potty trained soon.  She goes almost every time that we put her on the potty and she asks to go quite often as well.  It could be that she gets a eminem (M&M) every time... one for her and one for sissy but who cares, as long as she is going I am fine with it! Would love to stop buying diapers soon!

Aunt Boo and I took the girls to Palm Springs for the weekend and this was the beginning of Kennedy not getting the shaft.  Overall she did REALLY good.  They both slept well, swam well and just had a great time.  It was a fun weekend!

Avery also had her first sleepover with Vivienne and they both ended up in our bed in the middle of the night but they had a good time.

We went up to Orange County to see our good friends the Julianels and had a fun afternoon and evening with them.  Christy and I took the big girls for mani/pedi and to a showing of Frozen in the park.  They sure love each other!

Quite often we go to get donuts on the weekends... they sure love those mornings!

We went to Aquatica this month and the girls had fun.  Avery was tall enough to go on the big rides so since Cooper was with us, they both went on the rides and had a great time.  K wanted to go on all of them but since she is not tall enough she couldn't.  I can tell she will be my dare devil when the time comes!

Labor Day weekend we had quite a few fun BBQ's to attend and had a great time at all of them.  It's amazing to me how easy things are getting with both girls which is exactly why people keep having more kids!  I was at 95% for a long time... now I may be at 90%.  Still think we are done but who knows.  They always say to judge the amount of kids you want based on what you want your Thanksgivings and Christmas to be like and not on the first few years... which can be tough. Who knows!

These two little girls just about melt my heart every day.  Their relationship continues to evolve and change and they have their adorable moments and then two seconds later they are fighting.  Overall they get along great though!

Kennedy has become an AMAZING sleeper and some days won't get out of bed until 8-830. She loves to play in her crib when she wakes up just like Avery did when she was a little bit. She still has to do everything in 2's, has her gabba gabbas, and loves to watch shows with her sissy.  She is very sweet with Sophey and has quite the case of OCD just like me.  She loves to say NO more than anything but can be such a cuddle bug and when you get those moments with her, you relish them because they don't last long.  She is back to running 2 seconds later and pretty much runs everywhere she goes.  She is growing like a weed and talking up a storm.  She knows how to crawl in and out of her crib but knows she can't do it unless someone is in there with her.  She puts a few words together but can carry on quite a conversation with her limited vocabulary.  Here is an example of her telling me a few things.

K - pizza... daddy... hot dog
Me - did you have pizza at dinner with daddy.
K- ya.. hot dog
Me - did you have a hot dog
K- Ya
Me - was it yummy
K-Ya!

She is such a funny little kid with her own routine that she does not like to break from.  She is growing way to fast and Avery is getting smarter by the minute!
