November- Kennedy’s 3rd birthday which means this is the LAST year I can get away with her not wanting a full blown birthday party. So what do we do to celebrate? Have a BBQ at our house and get cupcakes and call it a birthday party, she will never know right??? Until she is old enough to read this but by then she won’t care because she will have had so many awesome birthday parties that she requested.
She had a great time and didn’t even realize that the party wasn’t for her. By the end of the night… she was partied out! She didn’t even budge when I put a blanket over her in her bed which she absolutely forbids in her bed.
Kennedy has really turned a corner when it comes to getting dressed. She is obsessed with doing it herself, and she packs bags to go on “trips”. It sure is fun when I have to hang up all those clothes that she takes out.
We started getting a little sick around the house… must be that time of year. Kennedy takes the nebulizer like a champ though and between that and the oils, sickness doesn’t last too long in this house.
Kennedy is still queen of lining things up… she has quite a bit of OCD like me, just in a different way.
We are one step closer to creating our own energy and saving a ton of money, can’t wait!
Avery’s school puts on a wonderful celebration for Veterans Day and we brought Grandpa this year. He absolutely loved it and said it was the best ceremony he had ever been to.
Kennedy loves to play paper dolls just about as much as her sissy.
Avery started playing soccer. She loves it, but she is better at talking with her friends and picking grass than actually getting near the ball. As long as she is having fun right!
Kennedy has become quite independent and likes to pick her own clothes out and rarely wants to comb her hair. Right now we are picking our battles with her. She is much more independent and defiant than Avery ever was. I am sure this will serve her later in lifeJ
Kennedy had a Thanksgiving day program at her school. It was really cute and Nana and Ben and I got to go and watch. She sure towers over some of the kids in her class but I love to see her with her friendsJ
She still loves her two blankees and green and red baby. She inches along the outside of them as she falls asleep and when she sleeps, she always has baby tucked tightly into her arms. So cute!
Avery had a really awesome event at her school where we prepared meals for kids in Africa. I went to help and it was great to do this event with her. I am sure that as she gets older why we do this will become much more clear to her but for now, I just enjoy doing these things with her and love that her school supports such awesome ministries.
The week of thanksgiving, we headed off to Mammoth with the Rings for some fun. On the way out there, the girls has access to walkie talkies…. They had fun with them.

While in Mammoth the kids skied (except Kennedy who was adamant about doing it).
So while everyone else was on the snow, we played and went to the top of the mountain on the gondola… which was scary to say the least but fun.
We did do a lot of sledding though!
The girls has a great time spending the week together and there was a lot of laughter and memories made. It was a tight fit for the 8 of us but we made it work.
It snowed so much that we stayed an extra day to enjoy the snow!
On the last day there, we celebrated Kennedy turning 3 at the bowling alley. All the kids loved it!
These kids are growing like crazy and I can’t believe we have a 3 year old and an almost 6 year old. Where does the time go!
And happy first birthday to Lily!!!
