July 2015

Summer... and boy has it been hot! Hot is relative yes, but when it is a permanent 80 and rarely gets below 70 in the evenings, its just plain hot!  But we have been able to get lots of swimming time in.

Since Avery officially graduated from pre-school, we decided to get her a bike.  She still is using the training wheels but she enjoys going to Alcott to ride her bike.  Pretty soon she will be a pro!

We celebrated the 4th of July at the Oreshacks house.  They just finished their home and have a great space for outdoor living and we all had a great time..   The kids had quite a bit of fun playing dress up in some less than desireable outfits... one being in duct tape that is no appropriate to post but what do 5 year olds know... to them it was just plain fun!

The girls are REALLY playing well together and I love it.  They entertain each other and just really enjoy each others company.

Avery also decided that she likes fish tacos... which is awesome!

Avery has attended a few dance camps this month and has had a great time! She really enjoys Mrs. Barbara and her teachers and is getting pretty good too.  Kennedy will be old enough for camps next year and they will both get to go together!

Avery has always wanted to get her ears peirced but has never been ready.  We have always told her that whenever she is ready, we can do it.  One day when Abagee was here she said she was ready to get her ears pierced and wanted Abagee to come when she did it.   She then decided she wanted to do it the following day so off we went.  We started with Great Grandpa's 90th birthday party and then off we went to get the ears pierced.  She cried for about 5 minutes and then was fine.  It was nothing that ice cream couldn't fix! She pretty much told every single person that she met that she just got her ears pierced.  This lasted for a few days until the newness wore off and now she is just getting excited to be able to change her earrings!

During the month Ben and I had the opportunity to go to Kauai for a work trip that I won.  It was soooo nice to get away to such a beautiful place and we had a really nice time.  I can't wait to go back one day with the kids.  Thanks goodness for Facetime!

Abagee came out and watched the kids and of course they had a great time. Avery was in a dance camp that week to help Abagee so she got some one on one time with each kid.

It has been very hot here but one day it rained like crazy... but was still VERY warm so the kids had fun playing in the puddles, in the warm weather.

The girls continue to be into paper dolls and tea parties.  The things that make little girls happy!

Avery celebrated her half birthday by going to the Baked Bear.  Gotta love ice cream!

We had a sleepover with Caitlin.  Crazy that I used to watch that girl when she was Kennedy's age!

Target is still a shopping haven for these girls!

Auntie Pam Pam and Uncle Lee invited us up for an afternoon on the boat!  We had a great time and the girls loved being on the water.

Kennedy was finally old enough to get to go to VBS this year.  The kids LOVED it so much that they went two weeks in a row!  We love it because of the price tag but it is such a fun thing to do with your friends no matter the cost.  This is Avery's third year going and she loves it!

The girls also started swim lesson boot camp style where they go every day M-Th for 2 weeks.  The first day or two Kennedy was a bit skeptical and cried but those teachers know how to get her in check and she snapped out of it and is doing so well at swimming!

We had more play dates with the Parker's.... crazy how much these girls have grown!

We took Avery to Aquatica for a big girls day and once she got over a little skinned elbow, we had a great time.  She is becoming such a great swimmer and getting tall enough to go on fun rides now.  She sure is growing up!

Daddy took Kennedy for some quality daddy/Kendy time which the girls really like.  We try to do family time and then a little one on one time with each of them.  I think it is so important for them and they really do like it!

These girls continue to grow and eat like crazy.  School starts next month and I can't believe that they are getting so big.  They are playing great together and can wear the same size underwear as well.  Before long they will wear the same size clothes and shoes!
