We have had a fun week. The weather has been pretty nice but it sure has been windy. This is probably the most wind that the month of May has seen here in Vegas in a long time. We live right off the mountain so it gets really windy out here as well. Avery does not seem to mind the wind though as she still loves to be outside!
Let's see, this past week Avery has perfected the art of rolling over from tummy to back. This is great except for when she does it in the morning around 6 or 7 when she typically wakes up and puts herself back to sleep. Now instead of going back to sleep she rolls over and has a ton to look at so there is no going back to sleep. She is still sleeping at least 10 hours so I am grateful for that but I liked the 12 hours much better! She is taking longer daytime naps as a result though. She continues to be a crazy sleeper at night and by the morning she ends up at the front of her crib with no room left to scoot anymore!Avery has continued her fascination with Sophey and now will even reach out to try to touch her. Before long she will be grabbing her which will be quite funny. Sophey still loves to lick her and sni her so we ended up buying a water squirt bottle so when she starts doing it, we spray her. She absolutely hates it so I am sure that she will stop here pretty soon. I was hoping not to have to go this route but her nose gets the best of her!
Avery is getting stronger by the day. She holds herself up so well now and she is trying so hard to roll from back to stomach. She gets pretty close but in the end she just cant do it quite yet.
We took Avery to the Country in the Park festival on Saturday and she was such a good girl. It was warm and windy out and there was a ton for her to look at. She was quite content sitting in her Bob Stroller listening to the band and soaking in the environment. She never made a peep for the 3 hours we were there!
Her favorite toy is still her play mat and she spends quite a bit of time on there!
Help, my hand is stuck!
She is getting so big and outgrowing clothes before she even wears them! I am sure that she will be in the 20 lb club at 6 months! Have a great week!
